Career and Technical Education is a 100% online program designed for new teachers who desire to use their work experience and impart their knowledge and skills to students in public schools using advanced instructional technologies.

Bachelor's CTE Certification

  • For students who want to become a certified teacher and would like to earn a Bachelor’s degree.
  • All courses taken are applied to a Bachelor's of Applied Science (BAS) degree
  • All courses are 100% online
  • Courses are accessible 24/7

Graduate CTE Certification

  • For students who want to become certified and would like to earn a Master's degree and eventually move into a school administration position. Example: Career and Technical Education Director.
  • 12-15 hours of courses taken are applied to a Master of Science degree
  • All courses are 100% online
  • Courses are accessible 24/7

What you Get

  • Grade for each course on an official UNT transcript (May be required by employers for compensation)
  • Texas Teacher Certificate in area of CTE - Health Science Education, Trade & Industrial Education, or Marketing Education
  • Knowledge and skills to be an effective teacher
