Continuing Professional Education (CPE)

  • For students who want to become certified teachers, but do not want university credit
  • All courses are 100% online
  • Courses are accessible 24/7
  • Certificate is given stating courses completed

Bachelor's CTE Certification

  • For students who want to become a certified teacher and would like to earn a Bachelor’s degree.
  • All courses taken are applied to a Bachelor's of Applied Arts and Science (BAAS) degree
  • Work Experience can also be used towards your Bachelor's degree (up to 24 credits)
  • All courses are 100% online
  • Courses are accessible 24/7

Graduate CTE Certification

  • For students who want to become certified and would like to eventually move into a school administration position. Example: Career and Technical Education Director.
  • 15 hours of courses taken are applied to a Master of Science degree
  • All courses are 100% online
  • Courses are accessible 24/7

Apply to Dept. of Learning Technologies

  • Cannot be transferred to another university for course credit

Apply to UNT Undergraduate Admissions

  • Official UNT transcript allows for transfer of credit to other universities

Apply to UNT Toulouse Graduate School

  • Official UNT transcript allows for transfer of credit to other universities

What it Costs

  • $50 one-time application fee
  • $700 for each course (3 SCH) (Subtotal $2,800)
  • $550 for each semester of Instructional Internship (Subtotal $1,100)
  • Total CPE Program Costs - $3,950
  • Tuition by cashier’s check or money order in US$ is paid by deadline for each course
  • Financial aid is not available through UNT for CPE enrolled students
